Mr.Gu Naiping(male,with stage names of Er Wazi,young Lameizi and Mable·Taozui·Gaokefusiji,and a room-name of Wei Tangzhai)was born in Sichuan Chendu Central Army School in September 1994.He,with a native of Suzhou,possesses a college schooling record/qualification.He,born in a scholar's family,loves music and art.He received a strict,good family education from his father,Gu Xuezhu who was a high-ranking military officer of the sixth term of the Huangpu Military Academy,since his childhood,which cultivated him into a man with characteristics of fortitude,persistence and assiduity:he started to learn calligraphy in 5 years old ,to command the national anthem singing on stage 9 years old,perform in public in drama of "Fang Zhimin" in 13 years old,learn traditional Chinese painting through imitating "Jie Ziyuan painting collection" in 15 years old,perform harmonica solos in public in 16 years old during which performanes frequently for factories and rural areas following his team in 17 years old; he graduated from a senior high school and was sent to work in 20 years old;performed the accordion solo March of Cavalry in 23 years old for the first time,which made him famous suddenly at the Suzhou Xinyi Theater; he look his grand-uncle,Zhu Fengzhu who was a famous artist in modern time,as his master......
Unfortunately,because he is a "son of officers of Huangpu Military Academy",he suffered injustice and was forced to stop his work for l long time during the Cultural Revolution.Although he suffered a variety of crucifixion during his being sent to work for a long hard time,during which he had to work under the oil-lamp in the night,he believed:"The times are always propressing,and the bright future is coming."So,he worked hard,encouraged himself,studied music,dance,medicine,painting and calligraphy,and recognized the inherent relationship between painting&calligraphy and music.
He has been engaged in painting for over 30 years.Since the 1980s,he began to go deep into rural areas to visit folk scenes,during which time he created a series of riverside town painting---Chinese Civil Residence,Art Spark Collection in 1997,1998and 1999,and delivered the disquisition "Discussion about the Riverside Town Painting Chinese Civil Residence". Besides of these,he continued his study on music,dance,literature and medicine,making hinself realize more about the truth that the painting is rhythm of love!
In 1975, he was engaged in the creation and identification of traditional Chinese painting for Kunshan Industrial Arts Company of Jiangsu Province.
In 1980,he was transferred back to Suzhou Bureau of Grain and Grain Reserves Station,where he worked as a teacher of Chinese.
He has won a lot of prizes both at home and abroad,edited several dozens of dicitionaries anf painting collections and published personal collections. He held a successful slo exhibition in New York under the special invite of the American World Art Center and American Chinese Art Center.He was awarded a International Silver Award in Manhattan for his works"Moonlit Night in Gusu"and "Tune of Missing Homeland in a Dream."
In Recent years, he has been kindly met by many leaders including:Zhou Tienong,Jia Yibin,Hu Min and Li Jing as well as Cheng Jianning,Zeng Guangfuand Sun Dali;and has met with a number of famous artists,such as:Li Shuangjiang,Guan Yiquan.All of them highly Praised his works,which have also been evry popular to common people and oversea persons.
He, presently engaged in the study of Chinese and Western Cultural Art in his full time and who is making further study and innovation for the combination of the world architecture art and riverside town painting---Chinese Residence ehich is an original creation by him,is quite an influential international professional artist of strength grnre in the persent age.
