In 1949  5 years old

I was admitted to Grade 1 of Suzhou Xicheng Center National School in formal name written with writing brush, and my mother taught me calligraphy in person.

In 1973  29  years old

I created the first six-meter scroll of wild cursive with lampion at the cottage in the countryside where was assigned to work, which was the Qu Yuan’s work Lisao.

In 1990  42 years old

Then, I began to create various types of landscape and dwelling paints and calligraphy works, reported and published by Shanghai Wenhui Newspaper, Xinmin Evening News, Suzhou Daily and other media ……

Creating 80 works of waterside series Chinese Vernacular Dwelling at the special invitation of China National Spark Arts Association, American Rema International Trade Co., Ltd. and Japan AOKI Oil Industrial Co. Ltd.

In June,I issued passion with my Hometown in the fourth volume of Cross-century classic calligraphy and painting of China and Abroad.

In Aug,my work Han shansi was exhibited and collected in Seoul,Korea,St.paul,Brazil and Tokyo Japan.

In Oct,I was invited by China and foreign Calligraphy and painting communicating Meetings,Chinese calligraphy association in Brazil, World Painting and Calligraphy Association and European Headquarter to take part in Peace in 1997 international art exchange exhibition,and my work Night of Gusu won international golden medal.

On Nov 11th,my work Moon in Fifteenth was included in Collection of Awarded works of World celebrity and World Distributor of calligraphy and painting collection,and it won the golden medal and received title of Honor.

Invited by China National Spark Arts Association Shanghai Branch as art designer special for Chinese Vernacular Dwelling.

Edited into art biography Dictionary of Contemporary Calligraphers and Painters.

Publishing in Spark Collection of 1997 Art Works both at home and abroad and publishing works Chinese Vernacular Dwelling Waterside painting series: together 14 pieces in Guizhou, Fujian and Shanghai.

Exhibition Award and Collection

In May,my wife and I were invited to take part in the first Art Exposition in beijing 1998 which held by Military Museum and I exhibited a series of 20 works of Landscape of the Yangze River,and received special awards.

In June,I was invited to take part in 98Eastern Cup China calligraphy and painting Competition and my work People lived beside Gusu River won national golden prize.

In Aug,I was invited by Korea International calligraphy and painting Association,Japan Aihualuduo correspondence institute to take part in the Second International calligraphy and painting Exhibition,and my work Cold Hill Temple,Moon in the fifteenth were exhibited and collected in Seoul,Korea,St,Paul,Brazil and Tokyo Japan.

In Oct,my wife and I were invited to take part in beijing 98 National calligraphy and painting Exchange Seminar and Painting Activity.and my work Night in Gusu won national golden medel.

In Dec,my wife and I was invited by Cultural department of China and Cultural and Arts personnel center in Qingdao Museum to take part in 98 Eight Modern calligraphers and painters Exhibition held in Qingdao,Shandong province.

Night of Gusu was authorized the honor of Modern Artist Excellent Achivevment Award which evaluated by experts from Modern calligraphy and painting Collection and published by Hong Kong Art Press.

The Round Moon of Hometown and Moon in the fifteenth was taken part in donation activity held by 98 National Famous Enterprise's Collection and Exhibition which approved by Culture Department 160 Document on Dec 12th.

The works Hanshan Temple was awarded with certificate for free donation of arts in the charity event of Protecting South China Tigers in 1998.

On Oct 27th,I was invited by World Art Center in America and China Art Center in America to go to Manhattan Nassau St104-116# in new York to hold an indicidual exhibition of China vernacular dwelling.

In Oct,I was invited to New York to take part in the third International Golden Goose Award Ceremony,and Night of Gusu and Missing Hometown in my Dream won international silver trophy and these two works had been collected by World Art Center of America.

In Dec,I was invied by take part in the third International Reception Exhibition of calligraphy and painting held in South Korea.And my work Cold hill Temple and People lived beside Gusu River were exhibited and collected in Seoul,Korea,St.Paul,Brazil and Tokyo Japan.

In June,my wife and I went to Yi town,Hong village,Xidi,Naiping and Lu village to draw from nature,with over 40 paintings.

In Sep,I issued Painting of China vernacular dwelling on Classic Articles of Scientific Chinese,which was published by Social Press of China.

In Oct,my wife and I were invited to take part in National calligraphy and Painting Exchange meeting and Seminar,and Passion with my Hometown won National Golden medal.

In 2001 57 years old

In Feb,my wife and I traveled to Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia to visit our relatives and draw from the nature.

In Apr,my wife and I were invited to take part in Exhibition of Modern calligraphers and painters in Ganzhou,Jianxi province.And my work China vernacular dwelling series won the first prize.

In Apr,I was ill during the exhibition in Jiangxi province,and Ganzhou television station gave me an exclusive interview and broadcasted my art achievements,and then my work Wannan vernacular dwelling was issued on Ganzhou newspaper.

On Apr 19th,Overseas Edition of China Daily issued a special subject of Luhuainan-Artist rescues heritage with Bursh-Chinese Troditional Architectures in the works of Gu Naiping.At this year,I issued Night of Gusu,Spring of Gusu and vernacular dwelling in AN Hui.

In Feb,my wife and I traveled to Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia to visit our relatives and draw from the nature.

In May, creating eleven-meter Chinese ink color works Baodai Bridge together with my wife after taking two years.

In 2003  59 years old

In Oct,I created several painting of My Memories of Ancient Heros at the Red Cliff.with grass style which were deeply loved by many collectors.

In 2004  60 years old

In July,I was invited to take part in National Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition held by Xianyang Mobile,My work South Garden won the first prize.

In 2005  61 years old

In Dec Christmas Day,my wife,daughter and I were invited to take part in my own exhibition held in 1912 Residence of Republic of China in Nanjing Jinling Evening.Morning newspaper and Yangzi Evening made a special report on it and Jingling TV Station broadcasted to Hong Kong,Macao and Taiwan and we were received an exclusive interview which was highly appreciated.

Creating eleven-meter Southern Anhui dwellings and works Fenghe Park during Lunar Palus.

On Aug 18th,I was invited by guest professor of College of Fine Arts of Qinghua University,Director of Industrial Design Assciation of China,and President of China Garment Commercial Hotel Li Yingjie to hold my individual exhibition in Beijing Store Garden.

In 2007  63 years old

In Jan,my work was collected in Celebrity's Proverb of China,which was issued by Beijing Xinhua Bookstore and edited by Research Association of Celebrity's  Proverb of China and published by historical literature press of China.

In Jan,I became a number of Branch Calligrapher Association of Shanghai.

In Feb,I became a member of painter Association of China in Suzhou.

In Mar,I joined Chinese Painting Association as a director.

In Mar,I got certificates issued by IORC(International Occupation and Registration Conference),International Certificate of calligraphy,painting and arts and certificate of Cost Price of Artistic Works.

In Apr,the artistic literature of China-Celebrities of China which was edited by Couture Department of China and Talents Center of Culture and Arts issued my certificate,which approved to collect my representative work and art biography in the artistic literature of China.

Works Twin Bridge Zhouzhuang was exhibited by National Art Museum of China in Beijing.

In 2008 64 years old  

In May, holding painting and calligraphy sole exhibition in Lianyungang City of Jiangsu Province.

In August, solo exhibition in Guangxi Guilin Art Museum.

In 2009  65 years old

Pavilion Solo Exhibition in Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia in January, which was successively reported by various media and presses for 15 days.

In April, works Childhood Memory was exhibited and reported by China Art Museum in Beijing.

In June, visiting Taiwan to carry out exchange of calligraphers together with Calligraphy, Painting and Art Troupe at the invitation of Taiwan Hall of United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee;

In August, attending Painting and Calligraphy Solo Exhibition of the 12th Beijing International Art Fair with my wife.

In 2010  66 years old  

In May, attending the charity activity of saving the children from Qinghai Yushu Earthquake at the invitation of Shanghai Charity Foundation “Shining – Future”, donating Painting and Calligraphy works of handwriting Love Needs No Words and traditional Chinese painting Twin Bridge Zhouzhuang, which was reported by magazine “Chinese World” and other many media;

In August, attending Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition Solo Exhibition of the 13th Beijing International Art Fair with my wife;

In August, going to Shaanxi to participate in an exhibition on invitation and Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition exchange between Xianyang and Hongkong;

Going to Beijing to attend the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Seychelles and China with my wife at the invitation of Seychelles’ ambassador in China and collecting two pieces of works;

Attending Guangxi Guilin Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition on invitation;

In August, collecting folk songs and painting in Dunhuang in the south of Gansu Province, Zhangye, Jiayuguan Pass of the Great Wall, Qilian Mountain, Yardang Landform, Colorful Danxia, Gobi Jiangnan, Malatya Beige Grottoes, Tianshui, Maiji Mountain and other places on invitation;

In September, invited to Baotou and attending Painting and Calligraphy Sole Exhibition at Baotou Museum;

Invited to Inner Mongolia deserts in Gansu of Elieen, Strange Forest and Khara-khoto and other places for collecting folk songs and painting;

The whole family went to Europe, Austria, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and other places for eighteen-day investigation and collection of folk songs from June 23 to July 10.
